The author's objective of this paper is to investigate the difference between a manager and a leader. There are numerous discussions around whether a manager is a leader and are leaders born or made. This paper will discuss various theories relating to managers and leaders and their differences.

In order to complete the research there are different ways of interpreting the data. The author will be completing an inductive research assignment with an interpretivism approach. When undertaking and presenting research, it is done with the objective of accumulating knowledge.
