Which environmental school of thought - anthropocentric, biocentric, deep ecology or ecocentric - fits with your personal sense of environmental ethics?Why?
The definition of Anthropocentric is regarding humans as the central fact and assuming humans to be the final aim and end of the universe with viewing and interpreting everything in terms of human experience and values. I feel that humans should always come first and considered the central fact of the universe even if there is other life in the universe or not. Anthropocentric fits my personal sense of environmental ethics because Anthropocentric ethics evaluates environmental issues on the basis of how they affect human needs and attaches primary importance to human interests.
